We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual who is ready for the next step to progress their career in Quality Control.
You will lead a team to develop and deliver a highly specialist quality control service, including analytical testing, microbiological and physical environmental monitoring, medical gas testing and temperature monitoring, both internally and to external organisations.

This is an exciting time to join us as we are part of a national programme to transform aseptic services in England, with West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) identified as one of Englands pathfinder sites. Our team is expanding to support the build of a new, state of the art Aseptic Hub to manufacture medicines for the WYAAT collaborative
This role includes participating in evening, weekend and bank holiday rotas, and where appropriate, support out of hours services and MAJAX incidents.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will lead a team to:
Deliver the microbiological and physical environmental monitoring service within the Trust and to external customers within the region.
Deliver a programme of analytical testing of medicines manufactured on site
Deliver a continuous temperature monitoring system to ensure the appropriate storage of all medicinal products
Manage the policies, procedures and equipment used within the QC service and ensure regulatory compliance with GMP and GLP.
Deliver a programme for medical gas testing within the Trust and to a wide portfolio of external customers.
You will also:
Provide Operational leadership to the QAQC Team
Provide performance oversight of the quality control service functions reporting to Pharmacy Quality Controller and QA Service
Manager.
Support and develop your team ensuring they can perform to the best of their ability.
Act as a Quality Controller for the Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS) for the Trust and for other hospitals throughout the Region in
accordance with standards outlined in HTM 02-01.
Act as the Professional Secretary to the LTHT Medical Gases Committee; including responsibility and oversight of the Trusts Medical
Gas Operational and Business Continuity Procedure.
