Are you ready to take the next step in your procurement or pharmacy career?. Leeds Teaching hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Deputy Pharmacy Purchasing Manager to join our Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services team.

As Deputy Pharmacy Purchasing Manager you will support the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager in delivering a professional, customer-focused pharmacy procurement service. You'll work closely with clinical teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain a robust pharmacy supply chain for Leeds Teaching Hospitals, support medicines shortages management and ensure compliance with procurement regulations and Trust policies.

Main duties of the job

As the Deputy Purchasing Manager you will:

Deputise for the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager.

Be involved in the implementation of new drug contracts and product changes.

Support the sourcing of Unlicensed Medicines (ULMs), ensuring compliance with LTH QC requirements.

Lead cost saving projects for non-contracted products.

Be responsible for day to day line Management and support for the Leeds Contracting team.

Help resolve supply issues and support Trust-wide medicines shortages management.

Address supplier performance issues to help achieve best outcomes for Leeds.

Support service development to increase efficiencies.
