Medicine Management and Pharmacy Services are looking for an organised highly motivated and enthusiastic Inventory Procurement officer.

Applicants should have experience of working in a professional purchasing environment with good time management skills to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has excellent communication skills and is committed to supporting high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be working at our Leeds Pharmaceutical Stores location on the outskirts of the city.

As a key member of the Pharmacy Procurement Team you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective procurement of medicines and pharmaceutical products for Leeds Teaching Hospitals

Main duties of the job

What Youll be Doing

Working as part of a team responsible for ordering medicines and pharmaceutical supplies in line with Trust procedures and SOPs

Monitoring stock levels to ensure continuity of supply across all clinical areas

Managing outstanding orders. Liaising with suppliers and wholesalers to resolve supply issues. Sourcing alternatives where needed.

Supporting the Pharmacy team with stock management and shortages.

Providing excellent customer service to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
