exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and
motivated individual to join our friendly Pharmacy Invoicing Team as a
Business Administration Apprentice within Medicines Management & Pharmacy
Services (MMPS)
This
is an exciting opportunity for caring and compassionate individuals to begin
a rewarding career in healthcare. As a
Band 2 apprentice, you will combine practical training with study, working
towards a nationally recognised qualification while supporting our dedicated
teams.
This
role is a perfect entry point for those with little to no previous
experience, offering a comprehensive training programme to help you develop
the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in the NHS.
Main duties of the job
What
you'll do
Provide high-quality general
administrative duties to ensure smooth running of the department.
Monitoring shared email inboxes and
printing of new invoices received.
Organisation and archiving of
delivery notes and invoices.
Learn and apply administration
practices and standards in a supportive environment.
Work as a team player with
excellent communication and organisational skills.
Contribute to providing a high
standard of care to our patients.

Job responsibilities
1.
Routine processing of patient or other correspondence/ documentation, within
departmental guidelines.
2.
Opening and distribution of post
3.
Maintain filing systems, ensuring documents are kept in good order
4.
Enter and retrieve relevant information, including patient information, and
other documentation from the appropriate electronic or manual administration
systems.
5.
Prepare patient or other documentation for processing, including scanning,
faxing, photocopying and filing.
6.
Report and respond to any system faults and errors.
7.
Answer routine telephone and in-person queries in a polite and helpful manner
referring calls and callers as necessary to appropriate senior staff.
8.
Ensure that requests for information are dealt with in an efficient and
timely manner.
9.
Ensuring the safe handling of confidential documents to meet the requirements
of the Data Protection Act.
10.
Follow Departmental/Trust disposal and destruction procedures of confidential
documentation, in line with Data Protection Act and Confidentiality.
11.
Collect and deliver patient or other documentation/reports around Trust when
required.
12.
Assist the member of staff responsible for stationary stock in ensuring an
appropriate level is maintained.
13.
Assisting to maintain high standards of service, including:-
