The
West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) is looking for a dynamic,
friendly and engaging member of staff to join the leadership team of the new
Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit Hub. The hub is due to open in Summer 2026,
producing a range of injectable medicines in line with the Carter report of
2020.
This
is a key role, as we move and expand the current unit based at the Leeds
Teaching Hospitals (Moor House). We are seeking an individual with
significant leadership experience in pharmaceutical services and a knowledge
of NHS acute hospital pharmacy services provision, as we seek to increase the
scale and complexity of our operation.

including medical gases, minor product defect reporting and unlicensed
medicines assessment.
Main duties of the job
This
role will provide crucial liaison with our customers and stakeholders,
ensuring that we meet the changing requirements of all the hospitals in the
WYAAT collaboration. The development of a robust business plan will require
engagement with executive and senior colleagues across a number of trusts and
specialist functions, including estates, finance, HR and procurement
departments.
The
successful candidate will ensure that we forensically analyse our operating
costs and methods, to ensure best possible efficiency and quality is
delivered. The role will also lead a small team to co-ordinate the management
of the new facility itself, including security, logistics, IT systems and
business support functions.
Key
relationships will need to be developed with the PMU hub leadership team, to
inform the discussions around new potential products and manufacturing
methods which in turn will inform operational capacity discussions and
benefits realisation.

exciting time to join our team to deliver real change and to work within a
supportive and dynamic environment.
