Main duties of the job

The Business Support Coordinator is a pivotal role with a diverse range of responsibilities centred around providing exceptional support for the expanding team. One primary focus is on managing complex queries from consortia members, stakeholders, and suppliers with a friendly and professional approach, requiring thorough investigation for comprehensive responses. Efficiently handling the department's email inbox and providing crucial administrative support for the contracting team and external regional consortia meetings are integral aspects, involving agenda preparation, note-taking, and action plan tracking.

Your expertise isnt confined to routine tasks but extends to crafting insightful reports and trend analyses on both regular operations and ad-hoc requests. The Co-ordinator curates a vibrant digital space, injecting life into the external regional website with up-to-date documents for our consortia members.

Beyond these core functions, the Co-ordinator actively contributes to the establishment of effective working systems within the team, solicits stakeholder views through surveys, and maintains a proactive approach to adaptability for any additional duties at a comparable level that may arise, meeting the dynamic needs of the service. This role encapsulates a unique blend of administrative finesse, financial acumen, and strategic coordination critical for the department's success.

We are hosted by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, providing the legal entity for the operation and is the employer of all our staff.

We have recently expanded from Yorkshire & Humber region to include the North East & Cumbria region. We are changing to reflect the increased number of customers. We have been established for over 30yrs and our strength lies in the close relationships with our pharmacy members and strong networks that have been established in this unique and highly specialised category of medicines products and services.

In this position, you'll be handling information systems, conducting data cleansing, troubleshooting issues and ensuring the accuracy of complex & sensitive datasets for regular and ad-hoc reports. Your tasks will also involve compiling and inputting data related to contracted suppliers' sales & key performance indicators to our databases and contributing to timely & accurate reports for use by the category teams, as well as for external publication.

Handling large amounts of data and ability to run or create reports

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, in particular Excel

Experience of administration duties

Experience of data consolidation

Desirable:

An understanding of NHS/Trust protocols/policies and procedure

Understanding of pharmaceutical products/services

Customer service skills

Experience of website content management
