Job summary
We
are looking for an experienced procurement professionals to work within the
Homecare medicines services category.
This is a 12 month fixed term full time position to cover maternity leave.
The
role includes extensive customer relationship management, supplier relationship
management, category strategy development and implementation, and involves
provision of hands on support to our NHS customers in manging this service
area.
The
role covers a customer base of trusts within the North East and Yorkshire
region and provides a complex purchasing and contracting service for medicines
and homecare services. You will work
along side other category leads for licensed and unlicensed medicines
portfolios and will allow you to develop and demonstrate the full spectrum of
procurement skills.

role is hybrid, with time split between our office in Leeds and remote
working. The role involves face to face
meetings and requires some travel outside of the region.
Main duties of the job
Main
duties of the job:
As
a Category Manager you will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio
of framework agreements in the Pharmaceutical Homecare Services category area
and will work to ensure timely delivery of procurement and category projects
against our workplan and in line with our customers requirements.
Project
manage and co-ordinate all activities, suppliers and personnel to successfully
undertake a number of strategic and tactical sourcing projects, from initial
scoping through to contract award.
Provide
specialist market, category and procurement knowledge to the customer base.
Maintaining
an effective supplier and provider partnerships and relationships
Participate
in relevant regional and national pharmacy network groups
This
role will include extensive engagement with the NHS and other key stakeholders
in this category area, locally, regionally and nationally, supporting our
customers to achieve cost reductions and efficiency targets.
