University of Leeds is the Employer for this position.

We are looking for an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to work as an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Tutor on the team, with a particular responsibility to coordinate student wellbeing activities and support across the programme.

Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded clinical psychology training programme. We are a close knit, friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology and expert by experience colleagues in West Yorkshire, and academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in clinical psychology training is a national and local priority, and this post is based in the new inclusion team on the programme.

The clinical psychology training programme is committed to diversity, and is supported by our host Division and School, the only Medical School in the UK to hold a Gold Athena SWAN award for Gender Equality.

Main duties of the job

Your main duties will include:

  • To work with the inclusion team on the programme, and to report to the PPD & Inclusion director (Dr Fiona Thorne)
  • To coordinatestudent wellbeing initiatives on the programme,
  • To engage with stakeholders including
  • To link with national wellbeing initiatives in clinical psychology training via the Group of Trainers in Clinical Psychology.
  • To link with wellbeing and belonging initiatives at the University of Leeds; including theUniversity wellbeing and student support team; the School of Medicines Head of student support, and the Faculty EDI team.
  • To attend the DClinPsy programme inclusion group.
  • To report on wellbeing and support initiatives at the Programme Management Committee.
  • To join regular team meetings.
  • To pursue, develop and take forward pedagogic developments relating to student wellbeing, EDI, and learning and teaching on the clinical psychology training programme.
  • To engage in knowledge transfer and continuous professional development and maintain registration with the HCPC.
  • In conjunction with the PPD & Inclusion director and the Programme Director(s) and other staff, to produce and compile submissions to regulatory and accrediting bodies.

  • A qualification at doctoral level (D.Clin.Psych; PhD);
