Job summary
The appointee must be able to demonstrate a high
level of clinical experience and competence in Paediatric Allergy. The clinical
duties will focus on providing secondary and tertiary allergy services in
clinics and the day care setting. There is no immunology, infectious diseases,
general paediatric or on call commitment with this post. As such we are looking
for an enthusiastic individual with expertise in single/multi system allergy
along with experience in managing children with unusual/severe allergy.
Main duties of the job
To
maintain a high quality regional paediatric allergy service to Leeds and North,
West and East Yorkshire.
To contribute to allergen desensitisation and immunotherapy.
To participate in the weekly joint multidisciplinary meetings (and teaching
programme) with consultant colleagues.
To participate in audit and help develop departmental / network guidelines.
To participate in departmental research
