We
are inviting applications to fill a vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS
Trust in the Trauma and Related services CSU based at the Leeds General
Infirmary.
This
is a full-time appointment for an FY Doctor in Orthopaedics here at Leeds
Supporting Trauma & Orthopaedic Service.
This
service will include:
Daily ward rounds and patient reviews

Main duties of the job
DUTIES
OF THE POST
To ensure high quality and safe care of Orthopaedic and Ortho-Geriatric
Medicine, patients resulting in excellent clinical outcomes.
To contribute directly to patient care by, for example, reviewing patients,
organising investigations and acting on results, initiating and changing
treatment, and speaking to patients and their relatives/carers about their
illness and clinical progress.
To undertake essential administrative duties, including prescribing, writing
electronic discharge letters, and liaising with colleagues in primary care.
To contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, working
collaboratively with a large team of allied healthcare professionals, including
the Early Discharge Assessment Team, specialist nurses and physiotherapists.

AND RESEARCH/STUDY AND TRAINING

will be opportunity for undergraduate teaching

leave is available, at the discretion of the line manager for courses/training
related to General and Elderly Medicine
