Job summary
There
is an opportunity for an experienced consultant radiologist or enthusiastic
post CCST trainee The 6-month locum cover involves cross sectional cancer
imaging, mainly genitourinary, oncology, MRI plain film and acute CT. There
will be a commitment to the provision of acute CT reporting in premium time via
scheduled evening sessions, details to be confirmed with the successful
applicant at job planning.
This
post will deliver 10 PAs supporting the Radiology team with on call 1 in 10 for
non- vascular interventional radiology.
The
candidate must be post CCST (or equivalent) and have experience in urological
and oncological cross-sectional reporting and extensive experience in
non-vascular interventional radiology to deliver an on-call service, including
nephrostomy placement.
The successful applicant should hold accreditation
from the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR or equivalent),full registration
with GMC and have the right to work in UK.
Main duties of the job
The
new appointee will help create a platform to build a strong portfolio of
specialist work at a national and regional level and provide seamless
integrated care to local patients and beyond with the Urology and Oncology
service partaking in the acute and sub-specialist work of the department. The
new post will allow the team to develop the service further to provide cost
savings and a better tertiary service to the patients of Yorkshire.
