This
is a 10 PA appointment for a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology. This post will be
available from 6th September 2023. This
is for an initial period of 1 year, with scope to extend to cover the training
period to attain equivalent to CCT in Dermatology.
This
post will deliver 10 PAs working alongside the Dermatology Specialty
Trainees. This is a training and service
post. This will involve General
Dermatology, Skin Cancer, Surgery and over time Dermatology subspecialties. The
candidate will have opportunities to contribute to research and audit. The post will also offer an on call commitment
of a 1 in 10 rota covering acute Dermatology between 8am and 8pm 7 days per
week.
The
post will be based at Chapel Allerton Hospital.
Applicants
should have established skills in General Medicine and ideally completed MRCP
examinations. Excellent communication
and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service
development are essential.

Main duties of the job
The post is a service and training post. Initially this will be offered for a one year
period with the opportunity to extend with support to obtain CCT via CESR
application. The candidate will have an
allocated Educational Supervisor and have clinical supervision for all clinical
activity. The initial year will offer
experience in General Dermatology, Skin cancer, Surgery and Acute
Dermatology. Subsequently, training will
be offered in the other Dermatology sub-specialties.

- Evidence of completion of higher medical training (i.e. MRCP, MRCGP)
