Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a permanent Medical Deployment Assistant.

The successful candidate will be based in the Medical Deployment Team supporting the Trusts Clinical Service units with the deployment of substantive and bank resident doctors.

The team is responsible for the administration and data quality of Rostering systems along with Bankstaff, Allocate, Employee Online and LMS. A key part of this role is to provide eRostering support across the Trust and to support clinical areas in achieving their business objectives through the fair, effective management, and deployment of medical staff and by working in line with the Resident Doctor Contract on Healthroster.

The post holder will need to have the ability to work as part of a team or independently, be able to effectively prioritise and organise their own workload, have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards, be an effective communicator and have an eye for detail and accuracy.

Main duties of the job

As a Medical Deployment Assistant, you will work to effectively manage and maintain the Trusts erostering system alongside a team of Medical Deployment Officers. This will include managing rota gaps, facilitating and updating swaps, recording absence and sickness and booking internal bank and external agency doctors.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a permanent Medical Deployment Assistant.

The successful candidate will be based in the Medical Deployment Team supporting the Trusts Clinical Service units with the deployment of substantive and bank resident doctors.

This involves advertising out gaps by methods such as text messages, emails and phone calls.

The Medical Deployment Assistant is required to book agency and bank locum doctors into these resident doctor vacancies.

The post holder is also required to work closely with our Master Vendor Holt by raising and completing agency job requests and reviewing/finalising agency timesheets.

In addition to this the Medical Deployment Assistant is required to support the resident doctors by accurately updating the erostering system for absences, swaps, leave and training.

The post holder will need to have the ability to work as part of a team or independently, be able to effectively prioritise and organise their own workload, have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards, be an effective communicator and have an eye for detail and accuracy.

The post holder will be required to contribute to a mixed working pattern that involves on-site and off-site work, early shifts, late shifts and bank holidays.
