As an Organisational Learning Trainer, you will design and deliver learning interventions that equip our workforce with the skills and confidence they need to thrive, ensuring every colleague can contribute to the best possible patient care.

Main duties of the job

The job holder will work in partnership with the Organisational Development and Culture (OD&C) wider team and is responsible for teaching, supporting, and assessing the theoretical and practical skills for the staff undertaking training.

The job holder will support the OD&C team in the development of a highly skilled and appropriately trained workforce who will support in ensuring good practice and delivery of high-quality, effective and efficient care.

Essential

  • Skilled training facilitator with knowledge of a range of learning and development theories, tools, and practices.
  • Experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes across a variety of subject areas to meet organisational needs.
  • A proven track record of delivering effective training interventions within a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience supporting the embedding of organisational values, behaviour frameworks, and culture change through training and development activities.
  • Confident in analysing and interpreting data (e.g. training needs analysis, evaluation feedback) to shape and improve learning interventions.

Skills and Behaviours

  • Ability to verbally explain information effectively, including where this information is potentially contentious, using highly developed persuading and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and keep to competing tight deadlines
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience working in a Training and Development or Facilitator Role
