An
exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Organisational Development &
Culture Centre of Excellence within the HR function at LTHT, contributing to
the delivery and achievement of our strategic people priorities and
specialising in the areas of organisational transformation, development,
inclusive culture, and employee engagement.
As
a member of the OD&C team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day
operational management of the department covering our core offering of
Induction, Appraisal, Mandatory Training, Apprenticeships, Learning and
Organisational Development. You will
have a leading role ensuring that all work is carried out effectively,
efficiently and in compliance with trust policies, procedures, good practice
guidance and in line with national service standards and policy
direction. Ensuring that the OD&C
strategy is consistent with other aspects of service/strategic planning and
support, reflects national service standards and incorporates national policy
direction.
Main duties of the job
As
the Operational Manager, you will lead to the operational day to day activity
of the Organisational, Development and Culture department, developing team
effectiveness and performance, transformation, and LEAN working striving for
continuous improvement.
You
will join an established and supportive team and will lead the administration
team to support the delivery of the department activities through a range of
strategic and operational approaches, policy development and revision, change
management and other workforce and service improvement techniques.

to internal and external groups within the workforce & education agenda,
including future developments in systems, national policy and strategy and
act as a source of expertise within the trust in how to translate these into
deliverable local programmes to support business objectives.
To
develop, lead, implement and evaluate projects that deliver the OD&C
strategy, in collaboration with other stakeholder across a range of priority
areas. Many of these projects will be
innovative and will involve different and, often, conflicting and challenging
responses from stakeholders and partners.

for supporting the procurement and management of systems in accordance with
national purchasing frameworks and best practice operational guidance.
Provide
support to teams to resolve challenging and complex issues working in
partnership with the wider OD&C team with a solution focused approach.
Hold
delegated budget management responsibilities for the OD&C department and
