An
exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Head and Neck Clinical Service
Unit (CSU) at the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. We are looking for a focused
and highly motivated individual to join the management team in the role of
Service Manager with a key focus on leading a busy administration team and
business units. The CSU is made up of several core departments including
Ophthalmology, ENT, OMFS, Audiology, Orthoptics and Optometry. This post is
pivotal in providing key operational management and service development
resource to ensure the delivery of quality, patient focused services. The
post holder will join the management team in the CSU and will be required to
work and lead across multiple specialties and business teams. You will be
supported by the CSU General Manager, to meet service delivery targets,
financial control targets and drive service improvement. The ideal candidate
will therefore be required to demonstrate leadership capabilities, including
the development of effective teams and culture. Finally and most importantly any successful candidate will

Main duties of the job
The
post holder will also be required to support the daily operational aspects of
service delivery, with a focus on achieving and monitoring access performance
and daily outpatient, inpatient and theatre activity. The post holder will be
required to develop professional relationships with a wide range of key
stakeholders in order to support the business functions of the CSU.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and
communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others.
