Main duties of the job
We
are looking for a senior, qualified and experienced Accountant to join the
Financial Management team.
The
successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of high quality
financial management advice and support to the managers and clinicians in a
Clinical Service Unit (CSU).
You
will also provide leadership and line management to a team of CSU accountants
and other financial management staff ensuring that deadlines are met and
quality assurance standards are achieved.
The
role includes the opportunity to take the lead on projects and tasks across
the wider finance function.

Fully qualified CCAB or ACMA
Accountant
Experience of working within a
finance function, preferably in financial management
Have specialist knowledge of
accounting concepts, conventions, policies and procedures
Ability to make judgements
involving highly complex facts or situations, which require analysis,
interpretation and comparison of a range of options
Have an inclusive leadership style
and the ability to challenge, negotiate and influence
Experience of leading cross-cutting
projects and collaboration with other stakeholders to improve performance
A preparedness to take
responsibility and work autonomously demonstrating a commitment to delivering
results, a quality service and delivering at pace
