CLEANERS AND HOUSEKEEPERS WANTED AT CHAPEL ALLERTON HOSPITAL!Do you want to make a difference to your local community?
The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for flexible and reliable individuals to work as Facilities Technicians (Patient Environment) at Chapel Allerton Hospital.
In this role, youll play a vital part in helping to keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe, by ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness. Youll ensure our patients are well-fed by providing meal services and youll work closely with all teams on site by supporting the delivery of excellent patient care.
We currently have permanent vacancies, for Facilities Technicians to work as Ward Housekeepers on Wards, department areas or public spaces. Various posts are available:
- Mon to Fri 0730-1400 (30 hours a week)
Successful applicants will be invited to an interview assessment centre held on 05/08/25. The assessment centre will consist of an interview with set questions around activities such as cleaning, ward food service, task prioritisation, infection prevention. Details of which may be taken from the attached job description. There will also be a short interactive test to take part in a mock patient interaction relating to being asked for directions, or having trouble completing a meal order
Main duties of the job
The roles will provide cleaning duties (dusting, mopping, cleaning toilets, sinks, patient beds etc) within either wards, departments or public areas, dependant on which role the successful candidates are appointed into. Within ward areas the role is also required to complete full catering services to Patients (after training has been given).
- Ensuring the environment is cleaned to the highest standards.
- Catering duties involve a caring, Patient centred approach to meal & beverage services.
- There will be an expectation to complete ad-hoc duties when required.
