Job summary
Were
looking for someone with specialist knowledge in the management of building
services to include "building and engineering" elements who can
provide the real drive to make a difference.
You
will provide specialist, professional expertise, manage contracts, deliver
operational services and be the lead for Chapel Allerton, Seacroft and the
Peripheral sites reporting to the Associate Director of Estates. You will make
a real difference supporting and developing
maintenance strategies, providing management for highly specialised
systems such as High and low voltage, etc. You will be vital in supporting our
teams as part of one of the largest and busiest acute hospital trusts in the
UK, being at the forefront of a dynamic team striving for excellence.
As
the Estates Peripherals lead you will provide senior management to staff, share
expert specialist information, be analytical in developing solutions, negotiate
with external agencies and demonstrate sound financial management. The
successful candidate will use a variety of planning tools, record and establish
asset management and plant histories via the Trusts works management system
and interpretlegal
and Technical Guidance.
The
job includes:
Salary
pro rata Band 8B £64,455 to £74,896
Annual
leave 27 days per annum + statutory bank holidays rising to 33 days with
service.

Main duties of the job
This
role provides the following services to the Trust: -
To be responsible for the
management of the larger Estate.
To include the maintenance and
repair of all building fabric, utilities and engineering services, within the
Trust, using the best possible business and working practices.
To manage contracts, both internal
and external, in addition to all levels of directly employed staff, to ensure
the delivery of operational services.
To be responsible for managing and
complying with all statutory instruments and guidance ensuring best practice
related to building fabric and engineering services.
Provide expert specialist and
professional building and engineering expertise and advice to senior
management of the Trust and external agencies.
Manage the duties of Authorised
Persons throughout the Trust and carry out the duties and responsibilities of
an Authorised Person for specific installations.
