Here
at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust were looking to appoint a professional
Painter and Decorator on a permanent and full-time basis.
As
part of our Estates team, you'll play a crucial role in helping to create a
pleasant environment for our patients, visitors and staff. In a large acute
hospital like Leeds Teaching Hospitals, a welcoming, well-maintained
environment can make those in our care feel safe and welcome.
You'll
be helping to maintain our hospital environments to the highest standard to
ensure areas like wards, communal spaces, offices and staff rooms, to mention a
few areas, are suitable and welcoming for anyone who needs them.
In
this role, you'll help to support the environment of all our hospital sites and
can be deployed to any one of our four hospital sites in Leeds.
Fulltime, the positions provides 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will be part of a team of 6 working trust wide. The primary
role is to ensure the Trust's Internal environments are maintained to a high
standard.
The
work will include routine and planned painting and decorating work duties.
The
successful candidate will be responsible for associated tools, plant and
materials which are used within the scope of their work within the Estates
Department.
This
job can involve prolonged periods of physical activity the post holder must be
capable of undertaking such duties.
The
successful candidate could be required to drive Trust vehicles, holding a full,
current, British drivers licence would be highly beneficial.
Training is available, subject to budget, as part of
the position and the candidate may be required to attend training on an
external providers premises.
