Job summary
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of CAD Operator within the BIM
& Data Team. The BIM & Data Team is part of the wider Estate Strategy
& Development department within Estates and Facilities.
This
role is a key part of managing and updating the information about the existing
estate, which includes construction plans, mechanical & electrical service
drawings and other estate related graphical data.
This
role is based at St Jamess University Hospital.
Candidates must have a good working knowledge of
AutoCAD, the ability to work to deadlines and be committed to provide a client
orientated service.

Main duties of the job
The
CAD Operator as part of the BIM & Data Team manages drawings for the whole
of the Trust's Estate.
The
candidate will draw and produce detailed drawings covering a full range of
technical disciplines/specialisms associated with estate management. They will
be involved in the setting up, maintenance and administration of the database
of CAD (Autocad & Revit) drawings covering construction plans, mechanical
& electrical service drawings and other estate related graphical data. They
will provide detailed technical plans for use by internal and external
technical staff and consultants.
This involves the identification and delivery of
requirements from the CAD drawings, liaison with external
consultants/contractors, Estates Capital Team, Operational Estates Corporate
Estates and the Strategic Projects office to enable the BIM & Data Team to
become the focal point for all drawings within the Trust.
About us
Estate
Strategy & Development department within Estates and Facilities is involved
in setting the overall estate strategy for the Trust, delivering building
projects and other investments as part of the capital programme, and
maintaining information about the existing estate.
There
is a dynamic range of projects and requirements which come from close liaison
with clinical and corporate colleagues as well as colleagues in operational
Estates & Facilities.
The
BIM & Data Team is a key link between capital project delivery and
operational estate functions.
