Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Document Controller to support the delivery of a Trust-wide approach to an estate building information. In this role you will be responsible for providing assurance around receipt, uploading of data and information to ensure this meets the Trusts governance and operational requirements and for reporting on progress and issues relating to this. You will control and manage data in the Client Common Data Environment (CCDE) in accordance with ISO19650 and Trust guidelines and requirements. This will involve sorting, storing, retrieving electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of the Trust as client and industry professionals. You will be able to provides staff training and support in this specialist field. You will have the expertise to support the development and maintenance of the Trusts Estate buildings information, BIM, data systems (CCDE)

You will be able to extract, interpret, utilise data from a wide variety of different systems including legacy 2D CAD systems 3D and BIM systems and the data quality required to inform national submissions for Estates & Facilities. You will also provide detailed technical plans for use by internal and external technical staff and consultants

You will be responsible as Estate Document Controller and reporting to Estates BIM & Data Manager as part of the department's growing BIM and Data Team (BDT)

Main duties of the job

You will be a highly capable, proactive individual used to working within a large multifaceted organisation with multiple stakeholders and dealing with numerous requests and issues at any one time. With minimum of Degree level or significant and demonstrable relevant experience in a relevant technical environment, or equivalent in a related field (e.g. design, construction, engineering) with a flexible approach.

You will have good knowledge of construction drawings, Estate information standards; Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application to technical estate issues. Ability to provide specialist technical advice and capital projects support across a wide range of document control including supporting, updating, replacing and implementing new or enhanced approaches, standards and processes in accordance with ISO standards and UK BIM framework. To draw and produce detailed drawings covering a full range of technical disciplines/specialisms associated with estate asset management. To be involved in the setting up, maintenance and administration of the database of information covering construction plans, mechanical & electrical service and other estate related graphical and non-graphical data. Provide detailed technical plans for use by internal and external technical staff and consultants. You will have a professional and team work mind-set, an effective communicator, with the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to cope with conflicting pressures.
