The National Pathology Imaging Co-operative (NPIC) is working to digitise pathology services across the country, whilst harnessing the associated data for research into improving patient care. NPICs strategic vision includes hosting a national research platform for digital pathology data, to support cutting edge research in the NHS and beyond.
This NPIC Research Delivery Manger role will play a key role in the realisation of this vision, and will be responsible for various projects, activities and exemplars that utilise this exciting new resource. The role requires excellent project management skills, as well as exceptional communication skills to facilitate complex collaboration activities with a wide range of stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
As NPICs Research Delivery Manger, you will be expected to lead and support the successful completion of deliverables across a diverse range of complex projects involving healthcare, academic and industrial professionals. The role will rely on developing effective working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, spanning a range of challenging multidisciplinary fields, including AI research, data science and systems development.
A successful candidate will have significant experience with digital pathology and be comfortable working under pressure to deliver complex projects with changing demands on the service. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of data access procedures within an acute NHS Trust setting, adhering to information governance policies. A proven track record of delivering research projects in a healthcare setting is essential, and a solid understanding of the technical aspects of large-scale digital deployments is advantageous.
