Cardio-Respiratory are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Radiographer to join our team of #ExceptionalPeople who provide #ExcellentCare and to work in one of the UKs leading BSCMR accredited centres for Cardiac MRI excellence with a world-leading reputation for its high impact research, clinical service and educational training.
The Cardiac MRI department is offering the opportunity to apply for a Band 7 Annex 21 Radiographer training position or a Band 7 Cardiac MRI radiographer. Under the Annex 21 scheme the successful applicant will undertake a full 18 months supervised and assessed training programme to learn the advanced MRI skills and techniques required to independently perform a wide range of advanced cardiac MRI investigations. An initial salary review of the successful applicant will ensure that the training salary is maximised in line with current national standards and once satisfying the training goals set, on assessed completion of the training programme, they will progress to a Band 7 position. The Band 7 position will be offered to a successful candidate who demonstrates the required cardiac skillset and the experience.

Main duties of the job
orking alongside specialised Cardiac MRI Radiographers the successful applicant will become an integral part of the team providing support to both clinical NHS and research scanning. This integration between the two services offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your current skill base and develop your specialist skills all whilst contributing to research and innovation. You will have excellent communication skills, have a patient centred approach and be ready to learn and expand your knowledge and skillset.
The succesful applicant will receive training in all aspects of Cardiac MRI utilising Philips and Siemens scanners at both 1.5T & 3.0T field strengths. The department currently operates 08:00-20:00 Monday to Sunday.
As a department, continual professional development of our staff is our main priority with many available in-house training opportunities including sub-specialisation in paediatric MRI and involvement in research.
