An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Services Co-ordinator to manage the administration and clerical team within Respiratory Medicine. Our services are currently located across all sites which include Wharfedale General Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, LGI and St Jamess University Hospital.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills, work on their own initiative, both independently and within a team and be highly motivated.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive team of Administration Staff, Doctors and Nurses responsible for the management of all respiratory patients in Leeds. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, and who is a team player. The successful candidate will find this a challenging and interesting role. A flexible approach to work is essential as operational targets and objectives change constantly and the post holder must be prepared to change their approach and prioritise accordingly.

Main duties of the job
The roles and responsibilities associated with this post are to manage speciality administration, clerical and secretarial staff to deliver services. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Business and Service Managers, to support and implement service developments, manage access targets including referral to treatment targets. The post will also require the successful candidate to review departmental systems and to manage the patient pathway more efficiently. The post holder will be liaising with nursing staff, medical personnel and other administration services within the directorate and the Trust.
The position dictates strong managerial skills, coupled with the ability to undertake quality improvement initiatives to enhance services. In addition to their site specific duties they will be expected to work closely with other Specialities within the directorate across SJUH, LGI, Seacroft and Wharfedale Hospitals.
