The CSU is looking for a Band 7 ward leader for the respiratory medically optimised for discharge ward J11. The ward support patient flow in Respiratory as well as other specialities at the St James site. We are looking for a ward manager who through the Leeds Way values and behaviours will inspire and lead the delivery of quality services with compassion making a difference to patients lives providing high quality care.
Experience caring for patients with respiratory disorders is desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job
The Cardio-respiratory CSU purpose is to deliver excellent quality care for our patients by our exceptional staff and in doing so is renowned for investing in and developing our teams. You will be supported by your Matron and Head of Nursing to develop and grow within your role in order to reach your full potential. You will lead a motivated team who are dedicated to providing the very best care for respiratory patients.
The Jobholder will carry 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the ward/department. Providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership, and supervision for the nursing team. The jobholder is responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or department philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate safe and quality care delivery.
