Job summary
Following
a review of our diagnostic services, the Clinical Physiology department is
recruiting a Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist within non-invasive
cardiology.
The
successful applicant will be the lead for Ambulatory Monitoring Services,
focussing on Holter, but will work with closely with the leads in ILR and
Alivecor.
We
are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who is able to lead
a diagnostic area and ensure the service meets the needs of our patients. We

Main duties of the job
Describe
What the candidate will do : As
service lead, the successul applicant will play a key role in overseeing the
day-to-day operations and ensuring Healthcare Scientists, Associate
Practitioners and trainees working within the service adhere to Standard
Operating Procedures.
You
must be a dedicated and proactive individual, who is able to influence change
and develop the service. Your leadership will be crucial in transforming and
streamlining workflows to support efficient services and most importantly,
deliver high quality patient care.
In
this quality and governance-focused role, you will work in close
collaboration with the Clinical Service Manager to uphold the highest
standards. You will take the lead on quality assurance initiatives, regular
audits and student assessments, and the implementation of quality improvement
strategies, underpinned by the Leeds Improvement Method to ensure measurable
and sustainable results.
As
a specialist in non-invasive diagnostics, you will support the broader
non-invasive clinical service team by performing Cardio-Pulmonary Exercise
Testing and Tilt Testing.
Where
applicable, we are open to supporting maintenance of additional
responsibilities/clinical competencies held by the successful candidate.
