Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of specialist colleagues, rotating through invasive and non-invasive cardiology, enabling the development or enhancement of a wide skill set. This will include performing analysis of ambulatory ECG/ILR monitoring and leading exercise tolerance tests, promptly escalating significant findings to senior team members in accordance with department protocols.
As the regional cardiac centre, Leeds is equipped with six newly refurbished cardiac catheter labs and a paediatric hybrid lab, offering a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to assist in routine and complex angioplasty procedures including PPCI.
As a qualified Cardiac Physiologist, you will also play a key role in supporting the development of trainees and junior staff members, contributing to their ongoing education and professional growth.
You will be part of a collaborative team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, efficient services. While we promote autonomous practice, there is always support available from specialist and consultant colleagues. The department holds a monthly governance and audit meeting where complex cases are reviewed, and ongoing training is provided to ensure staff are up-to-date with the latest equipment and technology.
If you are looking to further your career as a Healthcare Scientist, we encourage you to apply.
