Required
to fill this new post within the Radiology Department at the Leeds General
Infirmary/Chapel Allerton Hospital.
The
post is for a specialist Consultant Radiologist in Musculoskeletal Radiology.
The applicant will undertake all aspects of diagnostic and interventional MSK Radiology
including MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and plain radiographic reporting.
The responsibilities include MDT cover, specifically involvement in the
regional TIARA (tumour, infection, and revision arthroplasty) multidisciplinary
team meeting. There is an expectation to be adept in the reporting of complex
MSK imaging, including spinal trauma and sarcoma imaging. The successful
applicant will join a team of 8 expert MSK Radiologists.

Main duties of the job
The
successful applicant should possess FRCR (or equivalent) and should be included
on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview,
if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment
regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist
Register.
Applicants should have
established skills in MSK Radiology
and its related subspecialties. A strong
commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest
is desirable.
Consideration will be given to applicants
who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.
There is an expectation for out of hours
work (programmed evening work).

interests in MSK Imaging taking a lead in the MSK ultrasound service
development and delivery.
This post will deliver 10 PAs supporting the MSK Radiology team.
The post will be based at the Leeds General Infirmary and Chapel
