Job summary

An exciting development opportunity has arisen on ward L47 -

Ward L47 is an extremely busy 24 bedded Childrens Critical Care Unit. You will have resilience, enthusiasm, strong communication skills and customer service experience along with good computer skills.

You will be a forward-facing member of the team dealing with anxious families so sympathy and empathy will be a big part of your role.

In return we offer staff a supportive and stimulating environment and you will be a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team.

The role will entail working 28hrs per week Wednesday to Saturday. Working hours are negotiable.

Main duties of the job

The role involves administration support to the ward to enable staff to provide a high standard of care to our children and families.

Admin booking of patients into ward diaries, answering phones, booking appointments, filing, admissions, transfers and discharges of all patients via PAS., supporting the governance agenda/ audits/ metrics and safe care.

About us

The post holder will work closely with the ward manager and the ward team. You will be liaising with the multidisciplinary team on a regular basis, and be efficient in dealing with phone calls and passing on messages.

A background in the systems we use at LTHT would be advantageous however support and induction will be provided.
