Job summary
We
are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to
join our dynamic Childrens and Teenage Haematology and Oncology Day Unit.
Our service operates Monday to Saturday and provides specialised care to
children and young people with haematology and oncology conditions.
In
this role, you will take a leading part in coordinating and delivering
highquality daycase and outpatient care, including acute presentations,
general anaesthetic procedures, and scheduled treatments. You will play a key
role in supporting our Virtual Ward, ensuring safe remote monitoring and
review of patients receiving care at home. You will also contribute to the
delivery of ambulatory chemotherapy, enabling patients to receive treatment
safely outside the inpatient setting.
If
you do not already hold chemotherapy competencies, these must be completed
within the first nine months of the role.
