An
exciting opportunity has become available within the Childrens Cardiac
Specialist Nurse team.
We
are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual who will be
responsible for a managed caseload working closely within the paediatric
congenital nurse team and who can ensure the consistent delivery of
high-quality patient centred care to the children, young people and their
families within cardiology and cardiac surgery.
A
good understanding of current issues in healthcare both locally and
nationally, involvement in improving patient safety, risk and waste reduction
and the development of others and general support for peers, junior and
senior colleagues are expected.
Candidates
should have current NMC registration and experience within cardiology.

Main duties of the job
The
job holder will be responsible for supporting patients with cardiac
conditions and their family within various settings including Outpatients
(Surgical & Cardiology), Ward L51, and regional outreach clinics across
the Yorkshire and the Humber region. The successful candidate will be
expected to work with the multi-disciplinary team and will contribute to data
collection and audit.
The
successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and
have excellent communication and organisational skills. They must work with
The Leeds Way and Trust values at the centre of their care, for both patients
and colleagues. They must be able to demonstrate current and on-going
personal development and evidence of their contribution to change
management/service development within their current post.
