An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive Childrens
Nurse to lead, manage and develop the Childrens Pre assessment service.
We
are looking to recruit an individual with excellent partnership, networking
and communication skills who has
surgical experience, operational and project management experience,
strong leadership skills that can motivate individuals and teams to build and
sustain change.
Excellent
organisational and communication skills are key elements for this position
together with enthusiasm to build and sustain the childrens pre assessment
service.

Main duties of the job
The
role involves working with anaesthetists, surgeons, nursing and management teams to ensure we
have a sustainable preassessment service.
Working
to develop and implement pathways and new ways of working including the
digital pre assessment process. Managing and leading the nursing team
ensuring that all Children receive excellent pre operative assessment to
prepare them for their surgical journey. The post holder will act as a role
model for the team in terms of clinical and quality standards
About us
The post holder will work closely with
both Childrens Anaesthetists, surgical and management teams, to ensure an
excellent pre assessment pathway is delivered for all children who are
required to have planned surgery.
Support
will be provided by the matron, which includes preceptorship period, regular
1:1 meetings, team meetings, and appraisal for the upcoming year.

efficient management of the ward/department. They will provide professional,
clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. The
jobholder is responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or departments
