Lead Nurse Childrens Nursing Education
Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse leader seeking a new and rewarding challenge?
Excitingly, an opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Lead Nurse for Childrens Nursing Education You will be a key member of the senior nursing leadership team at the Leeds Childrens Hospital and hold responsibility for the nursing leadership and management of a core group of Clinical Educators. You will have a key focus on the delivery of education across the Childrens Hospital and lead on programmes of work for the current and future nursing workforce.
We are in search of a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of progressive and transformational leadership with a specialist interest in child health education. You will be able to manage complex clinical teams and services whilst supporting our staff and fostering a culture of quality care to enhance outcomes.
You will need excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organisational skills and a commitment to providing visible clinical leadership across the Childrens Hospital.

Main duties of the job
The
Lead Nurse- Education contributes to the development of the Leeds Childrens
Hospitals strategic approach to nursing education and training and will take
a significant lead role in the implementation of pre and post education for
the current and future childrens nursing workforce.
The
post holder will provide professional leadership and specialist expertise
with regard to childrens nursing education within Leeds Childrens Hospital
and across the wider Trust. The post holder will collaborate with the Lead
Nurse - Nursing & Midwifery Education and work with key stakeholders on a
regional and local basis.
The
post holder will support the Head of Nursing - Children in the development
and delivery of the Leeds Childrens Hospitals strategic approach for
childrens nursing education. This strategy encompasses the entire Childrens
Hospitals nursing workforce (c.800 WTE) across all clinical specialities
The
post holder will act as a source of expertise, advice and knowledge for
managers, leaders and healthcare professionals on all aspects of childrens
nursing education and provide expert advice, education and leadership within
the specialty.
The
post holder will have professional line management responsibility for staff
and will monitor the associated budgets.

27 medical and surgical specialties across our 16 inpatient wards in addition

are a specialist regional centre for liver and renal transplantation, complex
childrens cancer treatment, neurosurgery, and congenital cardiac surgery.
