An exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated passionate and proactive nurse to join the quality team.
A Quality Nurse is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within the Childrens hospital. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teams to identify, assess, and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and promote a culture of quality.
The role will form the Clinical effectiveness arm of the Quality team, acting on and responding to emerging patient safety issues and risks. Key responsibilities will include:
-Helping to progress the ward accreditation program for the Childrens Hospital
-Supporting QI projects for patient safety including pressure ulcers, falls and medication errors.
- The continued implementation and monitoring of standards of practice
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Childrens Nurse who has a passion for patient safety and Quality. Is a critical thinker able to work alongside and in partnership with different teams possessing emotional intelligence to be able to do so in sometimes challenging circumstances. Confidence in prioritisation and managing your own workload is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across the Childrens Hospital to support the delivery of quality governance, ensuring the fundamental standards of quality and safety are met.
The post holder will direct, coordinate, supervise and in collaboration with the The Childrens hospital management team ensure the provision of an efficient and effective service.
The Clinical Quality Practitioner will promote an environment which is conducive to learning, to enable personal and professional development of all team members.
The post holder will be required to be clinically competent and maintain competence in all aspects of nursing care and disseminate specialist knowledge & skills through experience, education and training.
The Clinical Quality Practitioner will support the CSU to improve the patient experience and to enhance staff, patient and public involvement in service changes. This role is fundamental in supporting the improvements within the service delivered by the Childrens Hopsital from a quality, clinical governance and standards of practice perspective.
The post holder will work closely with the Lead Nurse for Quality and Governance ensuring robust systems for quality, safety and governance are in place.
