An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 clinical lead for the Childrens Occupational Therapy acute inpatient service at The Leeds Childrens Hospital.
Specialties covered by this service include: Neurology, Oncology, Orthopaedics, developmental babies, cardiac and PICU. Caring for children from both within Leeds and regionally.

Experience within the clinical specialty, complex caseload management, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent communication skills are all essential requirements. Leadership and service development will be a key focus of this post.
Main duties of the job
Lead the inpatient team in the assessment and treatment of children on the acute and rehab wards within the Leeds Childrens Hospital.
Provide support, training and supervision to staff and students.
Work closely with the OT team/MDT to provide holistic, functional goal orientated rehab programmes, including assessment/provision of specialist equipment as appropriate, liaison with schools/external agencies, support complex discharge planning.
Work closely with the MDT/collaborate with hospitals/services around the region and nationally to provide coordinated, integrated care throughout a childs treatment journey.
Work closely with Band 7 colleagues in the Childrens OT service and Clinical Service Manager to identify and deliver quality improvement, audit, research and service development across the wider team.
Deputize for the Clinical Service Manager as appropriate.
