An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated
person to be part of our outpatient team. You must have a minimum of 24
months experience as a Band 5, be able to work flexibly within the role,
utilise good communication skills to meet the needs of the service.
The
outpatient service is based within Chapel Allerton Hospital, with multiple
specialities within the area; we offer a diverse range of clinics, including
rheumatology, orthopaedics and Nero rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
You
will work closely with the Senior Sister in managing the Outpatient area
ensuring the provision and development of a quality service. The jobholder
will work alongside the Senior Sister in developing and maintaining the
departments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate
safe and quality care delivery. You will be joining a department that enjoys
a multidisciplinary team approach, working closely with the Senior Sister, in
continuing the development of the nursing team to support the services that
are based within the speciality.
About us
CAH
OPD is a multi-specialist OPD situated on the ground floor of Chapel Allerton
Hospital. The department has three main areas, area 1, area 7 and area 8. It
consists of 30 consulting rooms, 2 clinical nurse specialist rooms, 2
ultrasound rooms, 3 treatment rooms, 2 observation areas and 1 plaster room.
Phlebotomy, cardiology (ECG), cardiac ultrasound and foot health are also
situated in the outpatients department-although within OPD these areas are
not managed by the general OPD leadership team.
