experienced individual to join the Chapel Allerton Clinical Service Unit
(CSU) as a Service Manager.
This
is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the effective,
high-quality delivery of patient-centred services across a portfolio of
complex and dynamic specialties.
The
successful candidate will be an effective communicator and relationship
builder, capable of working across a range of disciplines and stakeholder
groups to support both day-to-day operations and longer-term development
goals.

Main duties of the job
The
post is based at Chapel Allerton Hospital, where you will work closely with
clinical, nursing, and administrative teams to lead operational delivery and
drive continuous improvement. The CSU encompasses a broad range of
specialties, including:
Elective
Orthopaedics
Dermatology,
Paediatric Dermatology, and Allergy
Rheumatology
Complex
Rehabilitation
This
role presents a valuable opportunity for an ambitious individual to
contribute at a senior level within a high-performing CSU and influence the
strategic and operational direction of services that have a direct and
meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Key
responsibilities include:
Operational
leadership ensuring the delivery of performance targets in alignment with
LTHTs Service Delivery Framework and Trust policies.
Deputising
for the General Manager providing strategic oversight and decision-making
support as required.
Financial
management supporting budget control and leading the CSUs Waste Reduction
Programme
Service
transformation leading and supporting initiatives to enhance quality,
efficiency, and patient experience.

The
Service Manager will manage a complex programme of interdependent projects
across the Services to ensure development of financially affordable solutions
to capacity and quality constraints in Chapel Allerton CSU and the
integration of services in the community. This will enable the development,
delivery and maintenance of all access targets, cancer capacity and cancelled
operations target, activity plan and maximising data capture and coding
efficiencies. Working in partnership with clinical staff, commissioners,
managers and users, the post holder will lead the redesign of services and
business processes, and be responsible for facilitating the involvement of
all stakeholders to ensure timescales are met and service benefits realised.

systems are in place during the planning period to maintain business
continuity. Specifically the post holder will line manage the Clinical
Service Unit Business Manager, ensuring that operational and access targets

- Study at Masters level or the equivalent in relevant experience.
- Understanding of the Health and Social care management environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
