The Jobholder is responsible for the management of a defined caseload. The jobholder carries continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care. The jobholder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to a specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the speciality service. Main duties of the job
Will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
Will provide advanced nursing expertise to patients attending with suspected diagnosed HPB disease.
Will contribute to the multi-disciplinary team and network in the development service
About us
The team provide a regional service and facilitate a seamless and co-ordinated approach to support patients through a variety of treatment pathways which may be multi-modality.
As a key member of the specialist multi-disciplinary team you will carry continuing responsibility for a defined caseload, including the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
The post holder will contribute to the development of the Pancreas service as well as contributing to the strategic direction of nursing within the trust.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and be able to work well in a team. Experience and knowledge in caring for patients with HPB cancers would be desirable, as well as an in depth knowledge on current issues in nursing and cancer care.
