the development of our existing service, providing high quality safe care to
patients.
The
Abdominal Medicine and Surgery Clinical Service Unit are looking to appoint
one substantive band 6 to support the work of the renal transplant
co-ordinator teams.
We
are looking to appoint candidates to oversee the assessment process for
potential live kidney donors and transplant recipients.
There
will opportunity to rotate between the live donor team and the recipient team
to expand your skills and knowledge.
The
role will see the post holders work closely with other members of the MDT
and we will ensure that you receive the support you need to develop your
potential in this post.
The
AMS CSU brings together a number of specialist services to create one of the
largest and most exciting Clinical Service Units within the Leeds Teaching
Hospitals NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job
Communicate and work within the
wider MDT team to provide a positive experience delivering high quality care
for kidney donors and recipients as an expert practitioner.
Responsible for the day-to-day
supervision of junior clinical staff and students within the specialist team.
Support patients and their
families, communicating sensitive and complex information, ensuring they
receive required information to enable them to participate in their care
delivery.
Organises own clinical workload.
Assess, plan, implement and
evaluate care and treatments using specialist clinical knowledge and clinical
skills.
Ensure that documentation standards
are maintained in accordance with NMC and LTHT guidelines, whether written or
computerised.
