The
Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) CSU are seeking to recruit an
innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is passionate
about delivering high-quality compassionate care into the role of Advanced
Surgical Care Practitioner within the Hepatobiliary Surgery and National
Organ Retrieval Service services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
The
post holder with be expected to perform duties at an expert level with a high
degree of clinical skill and knowledge, delivering independent assessment,
clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making an planning of
treatment and care.
The
post holder will be able to independently perform specific operative
procedures within agreed protocols and competently assist in operative
procedures under the clinical supervision provided by a Consultant Surgeon.
The
post holder will act as a medical associate professional (MAP) on the
National Organ Retrieval (NORS) team undertaking abdominal organ procurement
for NHS Blood and Transplant at Hospital Trusts UK wide & non-UK Hospitals
The
post holder will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team
and will play an integral role in the operating/strategic development of the
service.
