Job summary
The Abdominal Medicine and Surgery (AMS) CSU are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Patient Services Co-coordinator to join our team in Leeds.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Patient Services Co-ordinator who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised, with exceptional customer service skills to join the AMS CSU.
The post holder will be an integral part of the HPB UGI PANCREAS admissions team and should be able to communicate with sensitivity and effectively with a wide range of people including medical staff, patients and colleagues. The Assistant PSC will manage a team of staff and support the Assistant Business Manager and Business Manager in delivering high quality services across the speciality.
The Assistant PSC will manage their defined areas within the speciality and will be responsible for prioritising work and reviewing working practices to ensure the effective running of the department. They will ensure that processes/procedures comply with legislation requirements covering Health & Safety, Data Protection and confidentiality.
A detailed knowledge of patient administration processes, Microsoft Office packages and e-mail technology is essential.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant PSC will provide a high-quality service in line with Trust standards and be able to communicate sensitivity and effectively with a wide range of people including medical staff, patients and colleagues. Support the Assistant and Business Manager in delivering the services for the speciality.
The Assistant PSC will manage their defined areas within the speciality and will be responsible for prioritising work, developing staff, reviewing working practices to ensure the effective running of the department and effective communication structures are implemented. They will ensure that processes/procedures comply with legislation requirements covering Health & Safety, Data Protection and Confidentiality.
Organising and prioritising workload based on needs of the service
Using and updating databases, producing reports and statistics for the team and wider distribution. On a regular and ad hoc basis eg waiting lists and PTL
Ensure work is completed and targets met within agreed timescales and in line with the trust policies and procedures.
