Job Summary Working as part of the Business Support Team within Medicines Management & Pharmacy Services (MMPS), the Administrative Co-ordinator will be accountable and responsible for providing administrative support to the team including supporting the Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties to support service delivery. This will include data management for service improvement projects, using Word, Excel and PowerPoint to interpret, analyse and communicate information to relevant stakeholders where necessary. The duties of this postholder will also include secretarial activities, filing, diary management etc., but will also include developing, maintaining and managing office and information systems in support of the CSU. The postholder will also be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the secretarial team.

The Business Support Team (BST) provide a wide range of administrative functions to MMPS to allow clinical colleagues to devote their focus to patients. MMPS is a fast-paced environment but BST are well-versed in supporting one another by sharing knowledge openly and working together to achieve the best outcomes.
What you will bring to the role Previous experience in administration/secretarial/personal assistant capacity.
An ability to prioritise and manage a variety of tasks and deadlines, achieving required deadlines.
An ability to create, interpret and analyse reports, databases and spread-sheet information.
A well-developed understanding and knowledge of office-based procedures / systems and ability to implement change and train colleagues where appropriate.
Comprehensive experience of using a variety of information systems, software applications and Microsoft Office applications. As well as the ability to learn new systems such as HealthRoster.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to exchange confidential, sensitive or contentious information clearly and effectively at all levels.
An ability to accurately transcribe complicated/complex notes and type complicated/complex information while subject to frequent interruptions.
Able to exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries to evaluate the situation and resolve problems within their remit, escalating issues appropriately.
