Job summary

The opportunity has arisen for a radiographer to join our ever expanding, friendly CT Team. Previous CT experience is preferable; however, candidates who meet the other minimum essential criteria (qualifications) will be considered and will be supported through a training program under annex 21 of the AfC terms and conditions. The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, highly motivated, hardworking, team player who is committed to flexible working. This post offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience participating in a wide range of examinations which could including Trauma, Cardiac, Colonography and Interventional oncology.

What you will bring to the role

The CT service will be delivered across 3 sites; Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), St James’ and Seacroft Hospital (SCH) due to the recent development of a Community Diagnostic Centre.

The CT fleet consists of both Siemens and GE scanners, boasting a top of the range, Siemens Force.

We are a busy unit undertaking over 75,000 examinations per year. The successful applicant/s will be expected to assess, authorise, and undertake a wide range of CT examinations; working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and service users to acquire diagnostic images with the lowest radiation dose practicable to promote treatment and guide ongoing care.

As a Band 6 Radiographer, you will be required to work autonomously and support the specialist training of students and apprentices. There will be a commitment to a shift system to cover the 24/7 workload.
