Job summary

The Rheumatology department at Chapel Allerton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 2 Clerical Officer to join our very friendly and approachable team consisting of medical secretaries and adminitraive officers. We work very closely with our consulting and admin teams forging strong relationships to deliver the best care for our services users. The post holder will provide essential support to the Rheumatology clinical team, contributing to service improvement and national audit delivery.

Previous administration experience would be an advantage for this role.

Main duties of the job

To support the clinical team in the development of a novel remote monitoring pathway for those with stable rheumatology conditions, and to help deliver timely and accurate outcomes for the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit (NEIAA).

To provide administrative support for the Rheumatology remote monitoring pathway; including

1. Registering of new patients, following their journey through the pathway.

2. Ensuring patients are appropriately contacted and wish to engage with the service.

3. Ensuring timely clinical review in clinic when required.

4. Auditing patient experience within the pathway to allow improvements in patients care and experience.

5. The development of new pathways across the rheumatology subspecialties

To provide administrative support for the NEIAA, including

1. Facilitating new patient entries into the audit

2. Assisting clinicians with organisation and tracking of registered patients

3. Data entry and reporting

To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support related service improvement initiatives

To support other areas of the Rheumatology admin service if and when needed.

Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision and have the ability to meet deadlines.
