Main duties of the job
Job Summary Are you looking for a change to the usual ward based work but dont want to give up clinical contact with your patients? Interventional Radiology Theatres may, be what you are looking for. We are currently looking for a driven senior clinical support worker, to join our team, across Leeds Teaching Hospitals to assist in delivering our day case commitment. Interventional Radiology experience is not essential as long as you are committed to the highest standards of patient care and safety. We want you to develop to your full potential and all new team members are supported by our Nurse Education Practitioner and are allocated a mentor to help work through our competency booklet together. You will also be supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, Radiologists and Radiographers who will work closely with you during your development. The skills you will gain with our team are easily transferrable to other areas such as Critical Care, A&E, CCU, Theatres, Neurology and any acute clinical environment. The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of the multidisciplinary team. The jobholder will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties under direct or indirect supervision by a registered team member. We are a busy cross site department working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 providing excellent patient care at LGI and SJUH.
