Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity to support Ward 26 on a secondment basis.

The ward cares for predomintalty gynaeoncology patients with some gynecology and general surgery patients.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the patient's clinical journey along agreed patient care pathways, supported by evidence based practice.

Responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the ward/dept

To provide the highest standard of safe, effective and compassionate care through the effective use of evidence based practice in line with agreed local and national standards and the NMC Code.

To provide a continuously improving service in line with the clinical governance framework, Trust objectives, and the NHS performance framework

To provide clinical leadership, expertise, advice and support to the nursing and multi -professional team to facilitate the effective delivery of care to patients at all times.

To support and continually develop staff to ensure they have the appropriate level of skill, knowledge and competence to meet service/specialty requirements.

  • RN (Adult) qualification with current NMC Registration
  • A degree in nursing or health related subject
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience at band 6
