Job summary

To take responsibility for both delivering and commissioning data-driven, quality and customer focused learning and development through innovative design and delivery techniques/methods focused on equipping our managers and people to reach their full potential.

Main duties of the job

The delivery on the full range of learning programmes within the prospectus including Induction, professional skills development, and management development.

Design and develop learning or lead projects which support our Trust/people strategy, and improve staff experience, ensuring there is a workforce which is equipped with the right values, skills, knowledge, and diversity to meet the needs of our patients and service users.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions to ensure the desired impact has been achieved and report on progress to key business meetings/stakeholders.

Oversee and report on statutory, mandatory and compliance learning and report this information to the relevant meetings, and stakeholders as required.

Support and lead as necessary on wider organisational initiatives and use this to inform future talent and skills requirements, such as apprenticeships, widening participation and workforceplanning.

Work in partnership with colleagues within People and OD to shape a customer focused service to the business units, responding to needs identified.

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
