Main duties of the job
This is a substantive Specialist doctor post. Prior NHS experience as registrar / specialty doctor in rheumatology, musculoskeletal or rehabilitation medicine is essential.

Experience in clinical skills teaching at bedside and simulation room as well as lecture based teaching is essential as you will be required to teach undergraduate medical students. You will be expected to train in practical skills such as joint injections, MSK ultrasound (if you have experience and qualified), and radiology interpretation and teach the same to your peers.
As your role develops into a senior role, you will take on clinical supervision of trainees.
You will participate in safe-care and team management events in both areas of work and contribute towards shared quality improvement projects for example clinical audit and educational material for self-care,. There is scope for leadership training in future years as your role develops.
