Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow - Gastroenterology

This post would suit an individual who aims to pursue a career in Gastroenterology and/or wishes to develop an interest in teaching. The successful candidate will be involved in coordinating and providing the undergraduate clinical teaching programme (5 sessions per week per annual average) and will undertake 5 sessions of clinical duties and professional development. The main clinical duties are to support a busy gastroenterology ward. Specialist clinics and endoscopy training can be arranged according to career interests.

There may be opportunities to contribute to the on call rota for appropriate remuneration.

Main duties of the job

Supervision of this post will be divided between Dr. Anand Reddy, Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist, and Dr. Dina Mansour, Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist. Ideally the individuals will have completed Foundation Training (or equivalent) and ST1 & 2 in Core Medical Training or ACCS (or equivalent). These posts are ideal for individuals with Part 1 & part 2 Membership studying for their PACES exam. The post is advertised for a doctor who would function at Tier 1 level, (SHO grade/Junior Clinical Teaching Fellow).
